Being a WoW fan and player, I can say that the key to enjoying it is to find a good guild to be a part of.

You can then safely ignore most idiots (or at least tell them where to go) as you have no reliance on other people outside your guild to do anything.

Having a team you can trust makes it a great deal more fun.
