Do you know what chemo you will be taking? What type of BC do you have? Please try to stay as informed as you can by asking your Oncologist as many questions as you can think of. I kept questions in my phone since I could never remember them in the doc's office!
I would urge you to try and find a support group. You may have to go to several before finding one you like. Contact the cancer societies in your area. You may be able to find a cancer coach who will walk with you through the whole thing!
You are just beginning this journey. It's totally normal to be freaked out. Just take a deep breath and go day to day. Try to stay busy. It's the best thing to help with the anxiety. Don't avoid your friends. It's hard in the beginning, because you have to tell them, but you'll find that your good friends will be there for you.
Please let us know how we can help in any way. You may also want to post on the main board with the most traffic. Click back on breast cancer support at the top and you should see 'meeting place' on the right hand side.
Many HUGS and PRAYERS. You can do this!!!!! There are many of us who are long time survivors. I finished my treatment 4 years ago, and I'm doing great. Just a blip in my life.
