Well having spent last night and we are still in the ER this morning, I read your message Suzy and I feel such gratitude. Jim spiked a temp and we spent the night in the ER. We have our own room and everyone has been so nice. They even brought me a bed to sleep in.
I appreciate all the suggestions. I will definitely ask him about watermelon. And because of all the ladies here I make him walk a little every day, even if it is just down the street to the mailbox. I also set up a comfy lounge chair on our back deck in the shade because I think nature is so healing and we have a wild yard with lots going on. And I send him off there with a book or his pod casts. He grumbles but he does what I ask.
I am discovering being the care giver is hard. When I was going through treatment for bc I could just thrive in all the attention. One of the things I am discovering is how good it feels when someon asks me "and how are you". I remind myself to do for me I mean I am only 2 years and a little bit more out from my diagnosis.
Thank you again Suzy and Karen.
