It is baby shampoo/body wash.
The men in my chemo bay didn't lose their hair -- some said it just thinned. Maybe he won't lose his. I didn't cut mine until it started to hurt-about 2-3 weeks after my first chemo. When is his first chemo? Maybe he could wait for the shave until he is sure he needs to.
My scalp hurt the day before my hair started to fall out. It hurt when I put my head on the pillow. I wore a cap all the time. That contained the hair and kept it from falling all over the place. I never actually shaved my hair --- I just wore the cap.
I hope he does well with the chemo. We might be able to help with food issues also. Make sure he drinks LOTS of water the day of chemo and for days after.
