Hi Janet.
I used an organic baby shampoo daily and I began to use it right away . I never had an itching or dryness problem as some of the girls reported. I have some hair now and I continue to use the shampoo daily. I use aveeno but Johnson's also makes the baby organic shampoo. I also used VO5 on my hair( once a week) before it fell out.
