Thanks for the advice, it is helping me make up my mind. You all have been a big help.
I am doing taxotere, and it seems that the hair loss comes with some discomfort. I am leaning toward the buzz or shaving it on day 13. I have a very nice wig that was trimmed to fit me, and some nice hats & scarves that I gave my mom last year that she gave back to me.
And to NanciJeanB, wow, I am so sorry your family had to go thru that. Mothers and daughters should not have to go thru this at the same time. I had to tell my parents a few days after my mom had her 1 year check up with her breast surgeon, and 3 months after my dad had a brain tumor removed (it was benign, and he is doing well), and 7 months after he finished chemo for lukemia. We have always been close, but we joke that we have a tumor/chemo bond that makes us even closer
Thanks for helping me thru this time, I know that everyone that posts is currently or has been thru this, or a loved one has, and it is greatly appreciated that you can take time out for someone else.
