Just wanted to let everyone know I may be out for a day or two depending on what happens with Hurricane Ida. Looks like we're lined up for a direct hit.
No worries though, got everything we need to ride it out. Gas for the generator, food, beer and wine in the fridge. Gas for the trucks and will pull cash out of the ATM in the morning just in case.
It's only a cat 2 storm right now and they are saying it may hit as a low 1 at most. Just a little wind and rain more than anything. The water's too cold for it to get stronger. Not even worth boarding off the windows.
I do love a good storm and think it's a shame it waited too late in the season to build up to a good one for us. I know, I'm crazy, but it does regenerate and stimulate our economy down here when we get a good storm. I would never wish bad on anyone and would never want to see anyone hurt but it can flood out all the bottom floor rental condos on the beach and rip off some roofs on those fancy beach houses and put us all back to work again.
With the generator, we won't be without power but internet may go out if the cable does. I'll post as soon as I can after the storm.

P.S. I hope Ana & Hopey made it home safe or plan on staying away till it's over. Shouldn't be bad on your side. It's hitting just to the west of us if not a direct hit and as you both know all the bad stuff will be east of the center.
