So, my latest bizarre SE from Taxol is that my big toenails have spontaneously started to look bruised and are lifting from the nail bed. Onc nurse tells me this is a side effect Taxol, that some women come in with band-aids on their fingers as fingernails fall off. She says my toe nails will in all likelihood fall off. Just wondering if anyone else has any experience with this kind of side effect and what I can expect for how this will "progress."
I say, Taxol won't necessarily make you "sick," but it sure can mess your body up in some other annoying ways - one a good note, I have just ONE MORE TO GO - my last dose, #12, comes next Thursday - Yeah!!! I'm onto FAC after that, but I will be happy to cross the Taxol finish line and hope for eventual resolution of the neuropathy, MAJOR SWELLING, and now toenail drama! (And, just in case you wondered, I'm still staying fabulous amidst it all). :o)
