Hi Robyn,
The gals who have already posted are right - don't feel pressure to be strong. And don't feel that you should handle things in the same way that other women do. Hair loss is a loss and some women choose to mourn their loss with a good cry and privacy. I'm a jokey jokey person with young kids. For me, I felt that I needed to make my hair loss an OK thing for my kids to be a part of. (Not a scarey thing or sad thing but kinda a fun thing). When my hair first started to fall out, I did share moments of sadness with my honey & he hugged me (which was what I really needed). How YOU choose to say good-bye to your hair will be the best way for you. With your friends coming over, they'll be there to give you lots of hugs & support!! I'll be praying for you, Sweetie, especially tonight.
Sending you warm, fuzzy hugs from VA,
Jeanne
