There is an awful lot of pressure on chemo patients to be brave and constant good sports. I think some people have a lot of fun with head shaving parties with their friends-it suits their personality and the mood they're having that particular day. It might not suit you though, and I hope you don't feel like you "should" have this kind of celebration with your friends. I thought that losing my hair was really sad, and even though I've always worn it very short I was really affected by it. I had my grown daughter shave it for me, and then had a good long cry. It is just hair, but our hair is important to us, and besides that being bald really makes you look and feel like a chemo patient-not the most fun thing in the world. The one thing that did make me laugh that day was when I looked in the mirror I realized for the first time how much I looked like my brother! In a weird way that made me feel better. I'm sending you a big hug and smooch, and congratulations on another milestone.
