Sure, feelin like we look like hell will pass but it's certainly worth mourning a bit. After all, we didn't ask to be sick and to go through treatment. I like your self-honesty! Good for you. 
Betta days will come but stopping occasionally and saying "ya know, this crap really sucks!" is a honest assessment of how we all feel (felt) about it.
