Hi Penny. Currently in Maryland keeping vigilant at hospital where both parents have been since early August. Hope to bring them home before november 19 so they can be in their home setting during their last days. Been coming up every 2 to 3 weeks to prepare home with stair lifts, build wheel chair ramp, set up nice beds with rails(queensize tempurpedic instead of uncomfortable hospital bed). Tomorrow is inspection day to determine discharge day. Siblings are house hopping to help care for my disabled husband so I can spend time with parents. Son recovered fully from accident. He was "clean" one year...long enough to attend brother's wedding as his best man. He's in intensive program for recent setback. I understand his addiction is a serious illness and know that the key to his successful recovery lies within him. Can only love and support him and continue to throw him lifelines when needed. I read your email about the vaccine and have forwarded that to my niece who is in a similar situation as yours. Her brain mets have returned several times but she will attempt radio surgery again as she has already undertaken whole brain irradiation. Perhaps her oncologist can look down this avenue.
