Chemo, going out, and questions

I read Cathy J.'s note on going out in public when you go through Chemo, is this any type of Chemo or certain types(I'm a real newby on this). Also, what type of questions should I ask? I've been reading but still feel overwhelmed. Next, the oncologist said that my hair will fall out "some",should I believe that? thanks Ruby
