Hi all,
First of all, Penny, I hope you're starting to feel better after your trip to Mobile. I am so sorry you had to go through all that. Lots of prayers coming your way.
On the advice of my oncologist, I got my first ever flu shot. I saw my GP today and he asked me if I was going to get the swine flu shot. I said "no," but he said it was a good idea.
Have any of you been advised to have or have you already had that shot? My onc said nothing about it.
Also, my onc said after a month, I should be able to go back to church w/out being concerned about catching anything (we belong to a HUGE church). However, my GP, who I've seen for 31 years, said that I should wait 12 weeks after my last chemo just to be sure . . . that after that amount of time, my immune system should be "back to normal."
Just wanted you ladies' thoughts on this. Thank you so much. My thoughts and prayers are going out to each and every one of you.
