Hi,
Today went for the biopsy that wasn't.
Unable to locate mass in breast utilizing ultrasound. To my way of thinking, it's a good thing--unable to discern via u/s. Last yr. when the lump was palpable, there was no problem in finding it to biopsy it.
So, now I have to go for MRI guided biopsy. For the ultrasound, you lay on your back w/arm of affected side over your head (not to be confused with lounging oceanside with hands under your head! This is certainly no day @ the beach!!)Not that I need to go into such detail with you gals; you're all veterans & know this drill like the back of your hands!
But...the position for MRI's I've had done, is pt. lays on stomach, with the "girls" in open cut-out slots. (Iliken it to the Hollywood starlets who immortalized their ta-ta's in cement!) My ? is this: will the Dr., in order
to access my breast, come sliding in under the MRI table like the mechanics do on those boards to get under cars?
Ain't that a visual? A real hoot (or should I say "hooter"
& a 1/2? : o D
Love, Barb
