Hi Girls,
I'm a little tired, a little sore, but home safe and looking forward to my 1st vaccine on the 12th.
The "blood washing" was a little more intense and invasive than I was expecting but I made it through. As I had feared, my best vein blew right out before we even got going (nurse's fault) and I had to go over to the hospital and have a catheter (sp) put in my jugular vein.
I was told it would be painless, yeah right!!! I've felt worse pain but wasn't expecting any and with my current neck pain it was a pretty rough procedure. I think I made the rest of the process even worse by being so tensed up for the entire three hour blood washing procedure.
Taking the cath out was worse than having it put in. The doc who installed the thing stitched it so tight to my skin that the nurse couldn't get so much as a needle in between me and the stitch! She wound up cutting my skin to get to the stitch!
I feel allot better today though. Just a little sore where the cath was and a little tired from not getting much restful sleep last night. I kept waking up every couple of hours.
Gonna go take a nap now. I may get back on here later tonight if I'm up to it. Thanks for all the moral support gals. You're the greatest!!!
Hugs,
Penny
