Hi Cathy,
I'm in the same boat re: the copays. Met my out of pocket on Oct. 1st with BCBS and I'm happy to run any test or make any office visits the docs want. I'm even thinking up new ones to add. The've screwed me out of so much money, I don't feel a bit guilty about paying them back for it either. Some of my co-pays were exteme and coded to where I would pay the max instead of what I should have paid.
Since I didn't have you're extreme reaction to the taxane there was no need for the test on my account. If it was me, I would go ahead and have both done. Although the neuropathy does usually go away, there have been a few cases of some of it becoming permanent. Not to scare you but better to be safe than sorry. Get the tests while it won't cost you anything and see if there is anything they can do to speed your recovery.
Just the small amount of neuropathy I had took several months to slowly diminish back to normal. So I'm sure yours will too and I believe Joanne's was getting better the last time she posted although she was still having some problems.
Good luck and keep us posted Sweetie.
Hugs,
Penny
