That was Peg that posted above not me. It's easy to get us mixed up though, not too many names with P.
I think the pillow fabric would be best made out of brushed cotton or chennile. Both are very soft and feels good on the skin. Brushed cotton might work for the scarves but may be a bit too thick. A lighter "quilting" cotton may be best for those.
With winter coming, a soft terry cloth may be good for the night caps. something similar to a winter knitted cap without the extra material to flip up. They can also be worn out with a longer more narrow semi-sheer polyester scarf tied around kinda like a headband with the long ends falling either down the back or over the shoulder. Those gave me the feeling of having my long hair back.
If you have a remnents fabric store in the area you can get partial bolts for really cheap. Hope this helps a bit.
