(Decided to post this again, because the original thread is down aways . . . wanted people to read it to understand why I liked A/C better than Taxol.)
Tina (and everyone!)
Sorry I scared you! The reason I considered Taxol harder was simply because I had a very hard time sleeping (even with pain pill) with the constant aches in my legs and the pain, burning and numbness in my feet. The Adriamycin/Cytoxen made me tired and not very hungry, but at least I could stand and walk w/out pain.
We live in a condo bldg. and the carport/laundry room is at the opposite end of our bldg. from our front door. Plus, I don't have a dryer, so haul wet laundry across the driveway to my friends' dryer. Just doing a load or two of laundry could cause a lot of pain with all the walking I did.
With my husband gone, I have to make food for myself . . . more standing. Going to the store, too . . . by the time I just picked up a dozen items, I couldn't take a step without pain, and couldn't take pain pills when I had to drive.
I will take exhaustion over pain and difficulty walking every time.
