I was damaged both lungs and heart after chemo. Extreme cold or heat can make it very hard to breathe. I have both a daily maintenance inhaler and a rescue inhaler. This summer I had to break down and use the rescue inhaler, at first three times a month, then eventually three times a week. It won't stop raining and the humidity when it does is very difficult to breathe in.
Some of the symptoms you're describing can be eased with an appropriate assessment from a pulmonologist. Being cold could be a lot of things; has she had her thyroid checked at all? Some of our organs can get pretty wonky after chemo.....gallbladders, thyroids, etc.
They should have the results of the x-rays tomorrow, that turnaround is pretty fast. I'm guessin' that they want her to talk to her doc to hear results, is that right?
Giving you a big hug. I can see you're very concerned and it's great you posted here looking for answers for her.
