Lung Radiation damage

My wife had stage 3b BC. She had very agressive treatments and now has scarring in her rt lung as a result of the agressive radiation. It is getting worse. The pain is getting worse. It's hard for to breathe in cold temps, she can't lie on her left side and she's always very cold. She's taking hydrocodone for pain. Have any of you had similar? Any suggestions. She's had chect xrays and will get results next week.
