Oh Honey,
I'm so glad you posted with all this. This is exactly what we're here for, you know? Follow ups and waiting on tests is the second worst part of the whole damned disease. Finding you got it is the worst of course. The one year anniversery is I think, the hardest one.
I can't speak from experience here since I've never been NED for more than a couple of years but from what I've heard it does get a little easier the farther out you get for most gals but I do think that everyone feels at least a little stress and dread at this point in the game.
Just look at it this way...if it's there, it's there and worrying about it won't make it go away and if it's not, then you've wasted all that worry over nothing. I hope that doesn't sound harsh, I didn't mean it that way. Just try to keep your mind on other things till the final results are in, Honey. Stay busy and try not to think about it.
I do know that once you've been dx'd they do go over every little thing with a fine tooth comb and that's a good thing but it can drive us to distraction because we automatically assume it's bad cause they're rechecking and taking a closer look.
You're absolutely right in that it would be highly unlikely to have anything new pop up while still in tx. Just look at it like this...it will give them a very good baseline of tests to look back on when your next follow up is due and should be easier to compare with less stress to you.
I'll still be keeping all my fingers and toes crossed and saying a little prayer for some calming strength to float your way and good test results, of course.
Hugs,
Penny
