Oh, honey, how horrific!! I cannot imagine your agony over this.
I can see he must've been in terrible pain to be so oblivious to the consequence of his actions with his loved ones. Now all y'all are in pain too.
Mental illness is a lot like a truly dangerous physical illness......it simply isn't easy to predict how a person will react to it and certainly their actions don't resemble the person you used to know and love. It's an awful business.
I'm so very sorry, honey. 
We're all around on the grief board should you want some support from folks who know your pain.
Po baby and your po hubby too. How sad.
