I had really horrible diarrhea after my first taxotere herceptin carboplatin. I think lomotil (prescription) works better then immodium. I had trouble with burning, and used something the nurse in the hospital gave me (I ended up there with neupegenic (sp?) fever). It was a thick cream that came in a tube-I don't remember the name-almost like a diaper rash cream (no dignity left at that point!). It helped a lot. I was tested for infection-came back negative. After that I used the lomotil with every chemo, and didn't have diarrhea as bad, though I did spend a lot of time in the bathroom. I guess my only idea is the lomotil. I'm sure sorry you're having to go through this.
