One more thing - after reading Pam's post it seems like most of the issues she is having is due to the AI she is taking (Arimidex). All the pain and stiffness she is feeling have nothing to do with her radiation tx's. The burns she is describing do not always happen to everyone - I had very few burn issues, just a little redness, but did have blistering towards the end as I mentioned. My onc didn't start me on my hormone therapy (Tamoxifen in my case, Arimidex in Pams) for this very reason - he didn't want possible side effects from the Tamoxifen to be misinterpreted as SE's from the radiation tx's. He also didn't want to add to any SE's I might have from rads. Made a lot of sense to me and worked very well - I also am experiencing some joint, muscle and bone pain from the Tamoxifen and am really glad I didn't have to deal with it when I was dealing with radiation tx's.
