Hi Liz,
I was taking Arimidex for about 8 months and had severe musculoskeletal pain. My oncologist then switched my med to Aromasin.......and had no more pain...NONE. Since my tumor was strongly ER+ I felt that the aromatase inhibitor follow up plan was important. Why these two drugs worked so differently for me I don't really know but suspect that the Arimidex is a non-steroidal and the Aromasin is a steroidal thus the difference in pain experienced. I am still trying to get a clear answer on that. I hope that you are able to follow a plan that does not include such debilitating symptoms. Good luck with it all.
