I switched from Tamoxifen to Arimidex in December due to abnormal pap tests (I then had my ovaries removed just to go on Arimidex)and by the end of February I was in such pain, hips, arms and fingers and also losing my hair by the handsful. My oncologist had me stop the Arimidex the beginning of April and 6 weeks later the pain in my hips has greatly improved, but my fingers are so numb and stiff I can barely hold a pen in my hand, or brush my teeth. I'm to call him back in June and if I improved he would switch me to another drug. At this point in time, I'm not sure what to do, live with all the pain or take the risk of not being on anything. Sometimes I think I could live with the pain if the hair would just stop falling out. Since being off the Arimidex, the hair hasn't stopped so I'm wondering if that really is the cause of it (Thyroid tests came back normal). I too am so confused on what I am doing to myself
