You are not taking responsibility for YOUR blatant willingness to subject yourself to sub-standard behavior. Codependency is all about people like you subjecting themselves to unfair behavior and being either unwilling or unable to extricate themselves from the relationship....no matter how bad it gets. For whatever reason...letting go is more painful to them than taking the abuse they are currently experiencing. To me...this is textbook, Annie.
