My grandpa told me something right before he died about a guy I was with about 12 years ago and it still holds true today. He knew we were at the end, but of course it was me holding on, trying to FIX things. He said--Annie the first time he hurts you shame on him and if you allow it to continue and he hurts you again shame on you for not being smart enough and strong enough to leave and move on. Wise words by a strong, honest man. I will never forget those words. After awhile it is my own fault for not leaving, finding happiness within myself and living the best life I can. No one needs a man to complete them, especially on this forum-we are looking too hard at things they do not even care about. They do not care about themselves. That is what we are failing to recognize. We analyze their every word, action etc. When we should be buliding a good life for oursleves, by ourselves and then when a good guy does come into our lives we will see it, want it, appreciate it, love it, deserve it and they will do just the same. Until then it will be an endless cycle of misery and we are all too wise to keep going through this. Just a thought. Cheers to my grandpa-may I find a man as sincere, caring, thoughtful, understanding, nurturing and loving as he was. In the meantime I am going to take on the IT IS ALL ABOUT ME attitude-it is so much easier that way.
