She ALWAYS manages to devalue me in EVERY conversation. If I visit her (which is hardly ever now) It takes 2 - 3 days to recover. I always new instinctively there was something wrong with her but I never knew what it was. The abuse became intolerable in my late teens and early twenties. I did not see her for long periods but then would feet guilty. I don't see her now for long periods but no longer feel guilty so I've progressed!! This sounds awful but it's a relief when you identify that your parent has the problem not you. It's the first stage of healing from the nightmare. Anyway here are some other resources that you might find interesting http://groups.msn.com/ADULTCHILDRENOFNARCISSISTSPSYCHOPATHS/messages.msnw http://www.healthyplace.com/Communities/Personality_Disorders/narcissism/archive_1.html Take care Lou
