Posted by Sparkie on 2/16/2007, 6:17 am First of all, I want to say that I am a proud member of this board and I feel so grateful for the support and love I've received on this board. Lea, I need your prayers and Hanna, I need your advice. I had a routine physical yesterday and the PA found a "lump" in my abdomen, just below my ribs. It's been there since last summer, I actually thought it was my bottom rib (gross). I'm having an ultrasound on Monday. She told me not to worry but her expression was "horrified" when she was touching it. She wrote on the slip "clinical findings: RUQ (Right Upper Quadrant) mobile cystic like mass, NT (non-tender??); then reason for exam: R/O (rule out) mass." (What I've learned through Internet research is scaring me...) This is going to be tough couple of weeks to get through with this weighing heavily on my mind. As you all know, I have two kids - a daughter who's 14 and a son who is 11. Their father is an abusive alcoholic who has 8 hrs of visitation a week. I have sole custody and no family here. Some kind thoughts and prayers are desperately needed. I've done so much work on myself in the past 5 1/2 years and want to be able to continue to be a good example for my children. Thanks for listening...
