The curl nails are made using a straw. I prefer a fat straw like McDonald's, you build the acrylic around the straw, you can make small circles for a tighter look are more wider for a more open look, however keep in mind that the longer you build, the longer the nail and try to lay the acrylic on even for filing sake, I hope this helps, if you still have some questions, let me know and I will try to explain more, let me know how it turns out.
