Hi, I love this board and have been visiting it for a few days now. I am new but I'm hoping you can show a sista some love and give me some solid advice on what to do.....I'm at my wit's end. ![]()
I am a nail veteran with 12 years' experience. Recently I began to get burned out from doing nails around the same time I was suffering from depression around 2 years ago, and I decided to stop doing nails and get a regular job. Besides, I got tired of the "droughts" I experienced from clients not coming on a regular basis to get their nails done......sometimes some were either so cheap, ghetto or inconsistent in their apointments/visits, it would frustrate me to a point to where when they did call, I would even put some of them off and not see them. Sometimes my professionalism was reflected in the way the clients would treat me or take advantage of me.
I am now ready to get back into the swing of things, but I am trying to come up with new, inventive, & creative ways to draw clients, REAL clients, back into my chair. Does anyone have any solid ideas? I admit that I wasn't always up for the aggravation at times to deal with customers, but my attitude as well as my outlook on my nail business has slowly evolved and changed. How can I drum up some business? I noticed Princess also lives in Daytona, which is where I am. If I can get some solid advice from her or those on this board, it would be very much appreciated. Thank you so much!
