It depends on where you are going. I am on commission now, but I work in a chain salon. I receive 45% commission. They supply everything. The only thing I bring is my shears, curlers and my clippers. So it depends. If they supply everything, it can be 50% commission or less. If you have to supply some of your stuff, then you may want to ask for more commission.
