hi when i do a 3d nail i finish the acrylic application to the nail then i wipe with a little momomer then apply the 3d artwork. thats how i do it hope it helps oh also you dont file 3d nails after you do them you would just be filing away the artwork, you can either apply uv topcoat or a gel finish top coat to seal the look
