Posted by checkyouout If you really want a 16V engine have a look at the Vauxhall XE (I know it's not a Ford), lots of power for not much money and with fitting kits available to stuff it into a MK1 or 2. The Pinto is still going strong though. How about an injected one out of a Sierra? Cheers Andy

I have not heard of this engine being used in a Mk1 before. However I did read somewhere that it is a 'weak' motor, particularly with regard to ovalling of the bores after not many miles I think.
