A friend of mine is currently rebuilding a 1972, 1100 mk1 escort and would like to fit a 2.0 l pinto(205 block), can anyone tell me if he wanted to keep an 1100 gearbox in it, how to do it? is it possible? wots the best alternative? he's not after top end, any help would be greatly appreciated. cheers.
