flipping channels and came across Larry King interviewing Celine Dion.
She was crying like a baby about the devastation down south and being
quite vocal about what was done wrong etc. Of course, no one disagrees
with this so what purpose it served to have her on there is beyond me.
Then it happened. They put text up on the screen that she was pledging
1 million for the relief effort. Very nice. Let's give money and then
show the world how much I'm giving. I think that's totally tacky.
Then she proceeded to sing live on Larry King some supposedly
impromptu song but obviously staged. So basically, Celine Dion paid $1
million to appear live on Larry King and sing for the entire nation.
