Posted by MikeB So many of the top rated foods still have to much grain in them. Nutro I wouldn't touch at all, way to much grain. I call it ... cereal with chicken flavor. I am a huge fan of CANIDAE and have been feeding it since it hit the market about 8 yrs. ago. I used Innova for some time before Canidae. Innova is pricy and can be hard to find in some areas of the country. http://www.naturapet.com Eagle Pack Holistic is another excellent food but you will pay the price like Innova for it. Canidae is about the best priced Super premium food available today. Using 4 meat meal proteins, 2 rice's, and all the right stuff for superior skin and coat. Retails here in So. California for around $30 for 40#'s. Many of the top foods today don't come in 40# bags anymore but they still charge the 40# price or more. If your new Scottie has any weight issues and need a Senior food or low calorie to loose weight Canidae's Platinum food is great. They lower the protein and fat but don't add more grain like many other manufactures do. Check Canidae's web site, http://www.canidae.com - read all the info about the food and click on the Store Locator to see if there is a store in your area that carries it. Many of the better foods today are only sold in privately owned and operated pet and feed stores, Not at PetsMart or Petco. MikeB
