A holistic vet I know told me that he was working on a paper about tumeric/curcuma and its application as a cancer treatment; I don't know if he ever finished the paper or if it was published -- that was a couple of years ago. One of the supplements that Sander has taken daily, in the 6 1/2 years that he's been living with cancer, is Chih-ko & Curcuma, from Seven Forests (retailers of Chinese herbal compounds). There are also studies being conducted -- again, not in the US -- on the use of cayenne in cancer treatment. Since the big hue and cry about shark cartilage in the 1990's, it's been found that quite a few substances have anti-angiogenic properties: bindweed, for one. Cayenne may be another, and tumeric as well. The sooner that conventional wisdom expands past the "cut/poison/burn" concept of cancer "treatment", the better, IMO.

that tumeric has anti-cancer properties. At various times since i started reading up on cancer in 1998, I've read a couple of accounts of this treatment being used -- not in the US, one case was in India, I remember -- to treat cancer in humans.
