Posted by Stanton Reactions are itching, red ears, butt scooting, etc. So he gets Beef Hearts, canned Salmon, tuna on occasion, Steve's (Real Food) Beef formula, as well as Nature's Variety raw lamb formula, and FarMore Buffalo. I can get ground ostrich from the health store down the street, but he doesn't do well on it. Any how, I figured after 2 yrs of avoiding poultry, I'd like to add it in. And I've also read on more then several occasions, that generally a dog will not react to raw protein, only cooked. Funny thing is, he still begins to itch, but even only after 1 meal of just chicken or turkey (raw) he'll have a urinary accident. It's almost as if he gets a slight infection that only lasts as long as he's being fed poultry. For instance, I fed him chicken in the morning for 2 days, for 3 days he had 2 accidents in the house during the night. This NEVER happens when he is not fed poultry. Can someone explain this? This is very irritating to me; I don't mind avoiding poultry, though I would like to give him more variety. And I'm not mad at the little guy, he appears very embarrassed when I discover it. I'd just like to know what causes it.

Kuaui has been on raw for almost 2 full years. At the beginning, and even before that, I knew this little guy was very intolerant to poultry - chicken AND Turkey.
