Posted by Leilah's Mom on 11/16/2004, 3:00 pm Leilah, now 8 years old (Vizsla/beagle mix), and she's doing very well. She had a second bout with back mast cell cancer last summer. Surgery is all she needed, thank goodness, and she goes to the onco every 3 months for testing. . But between that and just too many Utility NQs, I've retired her from obedience now. Lastest sport is agility tunnels, which Nadac offers at their trials, but those are few and far between. I'm looking for lure coursing locally, but no luck so far. 13 year old Copper (aussie) is doing well all things considered. He's a paraplegic now. Problem's not age related, but at this point I don't want to risk exploratory surgery on him. It's slowed him down less than you'd think and he does really well in his cart. He still holds down the fort and barks too dang early in the morning at passersby. Hope you are all doing well!!

Just going through bookmarks and checking in on some of the boards I haven't peeked in on for a while. I've been too dang busy for my own good. But at least my dogs are doing well!
(note: leilah wears the prong only when I have both dogs out together and can't pay full attention to her. Otherwise she jerks me all over trying to sniff stuff, which wrecks my back.)
