My old vet(14yrs ago) said they could be drained, but my new vets, say they have to be cut out. I now have a a 14yr old that has a Fatty tumor above her back knee joint. Her heart and lungs are good, but she has bad hips and other joints and I hate to put her thru surgery to remove something if it good be drained. Let me know if you hear of anything like that, It would certainly be better that putting her to sleep.
