We are having the same issue with our golden. Alternative therapy recommends a change to lean (weight management) food. Our dog was on that and when we changed him to senior formula that's when the tumors increased.
As far as draining them I'm not sure how that would work. Not liquid filled. You can have them excised/reduced if necessary but then your are talking anesthesia, which is risky and much more likely to kill our dog (because he's 9) than the tumors are.
http://www.naturalcanine.com does tout some lipoma products but I'm still researching the validity of those so can't recommend them yet
