I had a dog come here for boarding...a sheltie.. owner told brought me tons of canned food..said the dog would NOT eat dry at all. It took me awhile, and by the time the dog went home, she was eating dry.. with nothing mixed in.. Ya know what? I think the owner was a bit ticked that I was able to do what she wasn't. A dog can go for THREE full days of not eating a thing... before it's brain will tell it that what is in front of it is ok to eat. A dog will NOT die if it decides not to eat during those 3 days. Wolves in the wild will kill their prey, fill their tummies.. and often not eat again for 3 days. When I sent my dogs out with handlers to dog shows, they would often 'diet' and the handlers would get worried, so I always told them not to worry, sooner or later they would eat.

Are you SURE he wont eat dry food? He could be a bit spoiled... and I do not mean that to sound nasty or harsh.
