I would first suspect some sort of tick disease...try doxycycline in higher doses. Many ticks can also cause a disease process actually caused "tick paralysis", which is not lyme disease, but it's own process. In spite of what is often posted on the web, recovery may not be rapid. And it should be noted, we do not yet know all of the diseases that ticks can transmit ![]()
