Posted by LisaT on 7/2/2006, 2:37 pm a dog on the tick list, given 2 lyme vaccines, subsequently removed some fast growing tumors at the injection site. 8 months later the dog died of a myxiod malignant fibrous histiocytoma (myxofibrosarcoma) in the spinal column. The vets at Tufts told the owner that this type of tumor is implicated in the vaccine issue. Of course you already knew about the vaccine/cancer issue, but I find it interesting that the lyme vaccine in particular is associated with a connective tissue cancer. Nothing yet seems to be published on this though....
