and pretty much everything he said in there was what both Marina and Sig (Sander's chiro) told me as soon as the x-rays showed Sander's enlarged liver. That same day, Sig told me to change his diet and give him frequent small meals that had good protein but not so much from red meat, and to avoid the concentrated fats (Sander was already refusing his flax oil at that point); he told me to feed him eggs, and rice pudding.
Marina told me to put carbs in his diet and pretty much let Sander determine what he would eat, and I did. The carbs he wanted weren't so much cereal grains as stuff like rice; my mom would cook him brown rice and mix it with some jack mackerel every day, and he wolfed that down. She would also soft-boil a couple of eggs and soak bits of bread in it, and he ate that a couple of times a week. Since he stayed at my mom's when I was at work every day, we were able to feed him every 4 hours or so, and of course, that was fine with him. ![]()
