Canola Oil in dog food

If anyone should know about this subject you all on this board should know. I highly respect you knowledge.
What do you all know about the health & safety of CANOLA OIL used in dry dog food. Is it healthy and safe or is it something to stay away from. When I search the web I don't find much in support that is it healthy. Some say it is safe salad oil and other don't. Anyone really know what the truth is.
