Okay.. I see no reason why if there is an owner needing help to sell horses or horses needing help being sold why they cannot be advertised on the boards.... Saves the horses from auction, or the owner in one case from losing them to a landlord... The rescue gets nothing nor does anyone involved other than the owner so what is the problem?
If I see a horse needing a quick sell I will pass word myself, wehther I have one for sale or adoption or not. I do rescue and I do breed they are separate ventures, and neither keeps me from the other, nor does helping pass word or advertise.
As a matter of fact i just adopted one, have one for sale and my trainer has 2 behind in board desparate for a sale to cover the expenses of the stable.. Should i not tell people if they are looking these horses are available or that I have a sale horse just because i also rescue?
Let's not nit pic people, or accuse without facts. i help out at other rescues where I can as mine is private and I also am a regular volunteer/foster home at ERR and I must say if they brokered and made sales as accused they would have much more money on account..
Just my opinion/observation that it is detrimental to the horse rescue "business" and the horse world in general to harass, complain, confuse the public. Let's stick to abuse/neglect issues if we need complaints to issue.
